Hi! My name is Christel Weixelman. I was born in Anchorage, Alaska and I studied art at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. I focused on painting and relief printmaking. I have been painting professionally since 2005.
I love working with bright colors, bold lines and retro styled imagery. I enjoy working with abstraction, surrealism, and representational styles. Some of my favorite artists include Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Audrey Flack, Hieronymus Bosch, William Wegman and Nick Cave.
I have been making miniature paintings on wood blocks to be sold from Art*O*Mat vending machines since 2006. To date I have completed more than 250 Art*O*Mat paintings which are sold all over the United States. I am also a licensed nail technician and have had some of my nail art paintings featured in The Itty Bitty Art Book and Kit, published by Scholastic Book Fairs.
